John Schnack is a San Diego-based photographer specializing in sports, lifestyle and reportáge imagery for corporate and commercial projects.
John began his photography career in 1991 as a photojournalist for the North County Times (now part of the San Diego Union-Tribune), where he photographed everything from politicians to the San Diego Padres. The lessons he learned there—finding great light, creating compelling images out of nothing, and knowing he had only one chance to bring home the goods—form the foundation of his work today. It allows John to be comfortable on any size shoot, whether it's a large-scale campaign or a run-and-gun social media shoot.
Commercial and corporate clients include: Asics, New Era Caps, Qualcomm, Cannondale Bikes, Advanced Sports/Fuji Bikes, Louisville Slugger, Visa, Full Swing Golf, Zamst, Pardee Homes, San Diego County Credit Union.
Non-profit clients include: Leukemia Lymphoma Society, American Heart Association.
John resides in Carlsbad, Calif., with his wife and daughter. When not shooting, John loves cycling (road and MTB), surfing, and watching his daughter play soccer.
